The complex of dainty furnished stone cottages was constructed near the legendary Stimfalia lake in 2006 , offering those seeking accomodation in the breathtaking Corinthian highlands service and attention to detail that are superb. Furthermore , those interested in retaining their privacy ,these cottages are also self-catering.
In Greek Mythology, the Pleiades were the seven daughters of the Titan Atlas, who held up the sky and the oceanid Pleione, the protectress of sailing. When the hunter Orion fell in love with them, Zeus turned them into doves, which flew into the sky to become the cluster of stars , known as «Poulia». The seven sisters «Pleiades» named for the sisters and their parents: The sisters, Maia, Taygeti, Electra, Alcyone, Kelaino, Sterope and Merope were born on Mount Killini and along with their sisters, the Hyades, were deities of the woods and mountains. When they mated with Zeus , they gave birth to Gods and Heroes. The first-born and most beautiful of the seven sisters, Maia, gave birth to the God Hermes in the cave Hermes on Mount Ziria, after which the God was named.
The Pleiada Maia has given her name to the largest of the cottages of the complex. The remaining six , Taugete, Electra, Alcyone, Sterope, Merope and Kelaino, offered their name to the remainig cottages.
The decor and atmosphere of each in keeping with the personality and what each of these Pleiades of the cluster represents. The scents and colours of the flora representative of the area: the thyme , the origanum, the myrtle, make up the delights of this idyllic spot urging you to see, feel, to taste the uniqueness of the beauty, myth and legend.
